The Ministry

Discipleship:
“Make disciples of every nation… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Mt 28:18-20). The great commission is our vision! Our main goal is to bring people closer to Christ and to train disciples that will persevere and be fruitful. It can be easy for someone to confess Christ through baptism, but it’s a lifelong challenge to build a community of cross carrying disciples. We desire to be a loving and faith building community. We are also involved in maturing local leadership for this very purpose. More on discipleship.

Outreach:
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Lk 10:2). Few verses describe the receptivity of Brazilians as this one does. People are looking for a faith that is personal and real. They are tired of being told that God is not interested and out of reach. They are looking for something more than this world has to offer. Our ministry is set to answer this need through the life transforming message of the Gospel. The School of the Bible is one of our most successful outreach programs. More on outreach.

Service:
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these…you did for me” (Mt 25:40). We understand that any healthy Kingdom work must be done with the interest of the “least of these” in mind. As followers of Jesus, we are called to love our neighbor in very practical ways. We do this by making it a priority in our mission. Some of our more service oriented ministries include the Homeless Ministry, The Teddy Bears for young Cancer patients, and different events for orphans. More on service.

Youth:
“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth” (Ec 12:1). Most churches in Brazil have a large number of young people. They are passionate and searching for truth. We make it a top priority to teach them about Jesus and to help them find practical ways to live out their faith. Some of these teens come to worship with their families, others are mocked and persecuted by them. And there is one thing we have to remember: they are not only the future of the church, but they are the church now. More on youth.
